Screencast.com videos - Fullscreen mode is disabled

Hi, we have a big issue regarding video display.  We host our videos on screencast.com.  We display them by adding a URL, with Option, Display = "In Frame".

Up to now, this means that the screencast.com video is displayed in frame, and a "full screen" button on the video toolbar enabled Full Screen display.

Now Techsmith have updated their screencast.com video player.  The issue is that the new version, while still having a full screen button when the URL is loaded in a browser, does NOT show the full screen button when displayed in a frame in moodle.

This is to do with the way screencast.com passes iFrame parameters, and moodle then wraps it again in another frame.  Techsmith say this is not correct or supported usage.  They have suggested to "modify some of the Moodle template code that is responsible for embedding of the Screencast.com page to include some parameters that would enable full screen option to show up."

Has anyone else seen this issue?  Any suggestions regarding where to find the moodle template code, and what to modify?

The workaround is to use the "new window" option, but that will cause us security issues by displaying the screencast URL, plus usability issues, and, least importantly, a huge task to change thousands of resources settings.

Really hope someone can help please,

Thanks,

Eamonn

Hi,

Maybe you would like to provide a little more info, like... what Moodle version you are using.

I checked in version 2.6.2, and the embedded video shows a Full size button ("A", in the image) not showed in a normal page. Using this one didn't work, but using the usual one found in the video control bar ("B" in the image) did work as expected.
