Getting an option to choose a Rubric [2.4+]

Getting an option to choose a Rubric [2.4+]

I've checked the docs and did a quick search, but I'm still unsure.  I'm trying to set up an assignment and choose a rubric.

I do this:

  1. Set up an assignment (all the defaults)
  2. Select 'Rubric' as grading method
  3. Save
  4. Click on assignment name to go into the assignment
  5. Click Assignment settings > Advanced grading > Define Rubric
There is no option to choose a rubric.  Just create from scratch.

I can change the 'rubric' setting in the Assignment Settings and then go in and change to Rubric in Advanced grading - then choose.  But I didn't think I'd need to do this.

You mean that from the Define rubric setting you don't get the option to choose from a template (ie one you made earlier)? I think that's probably right - you click on Advanced grading and get the two options (or else click Save and display when first making the assignment) Or have I misunderstood you?

Still not working as I'd expect in 2.4+, if I create an assignment choosing rubric, I cannot find a way to choose a pre-existing rubric; but in an updated version of Moodle to 2.6.1 has everything I expected.
