Manual Grading of quizzes

Manual Grading of quizzes

I started using random questions for my Algebra I homework.  I love it that my students can immediately see the answers and then get a new set of problems for the 2nd attempt.  I also love it that no two students have the same problems.  However, grading the "essay" questions is very time consuming..  With 40 Algebra students having 40 different problems, I have to wait for a new screen to load to grade each and every question.  I am wasting alot of time "waiting" in between questions.  I would love it if there were an option to grade all of the problems for that assignment on one screen.

No, that is how I'm grading.  But because each student has a different question for number 1, I have to open a new screen for each question.

The answer is something like this.

6x^2+19xy-20y^2

3n^4(n^4-3n+4)

If you have ideas on how to have these graded automatically, I'm happy to hear them.

For some questions such as those that have descriptive or essay answers they have to be evaluated manually. In the current feature I have to click on "Make comment or override mark" which opens a new window where I have to evaluate and save each time for every descriptive questions. The problem gets more amplified when the same thing has to be done for multiple students.

Cannot we have a single window where we can evaluate all the questions instead of opening a pop up window for each question? It will really make manual evaluation less tedious by a very large extent.

I clicked on the link you included.  I'll have to look into that a little more.  Having them graded automatically would be the best route.
