Hello Guillermo and others,

You say that a choice had to be made, between letting people having access to the contents or complying with the requirements of the copyright owners.

As I am also thinking about the copyright compliance, and trying to avoid that content could be saved or scraped, I 'm asking the community to know if maybe there could be a third way :

Does anyone knows if there is a plugin for moodle that enables the insertion of encrypted pdf or epub format in Moodle via embed or iframe ( my documents stored on a server and domain-locked)

I found nothing about this (in french or in english)

Additionally, to me,  content should be :

Safe from print screen (& screen capture software if possible)

Not be retrieved from browser cache

If this kind of moodle plugin  does not exist, Would it be the solution ?

Thank for your answers,

Flo (french instructional designer)

Hi

I'm coming late to this conversation, but it is something I've spent some time investigating.

Some options are:

https://cloudconvert.com/ you can convert a pdf to a HTML5 document and with a bit of tweaking you can set the code so that you can't print or download.

http://fliphtml5.com/ where is a paid for solution where you turn the pdf into a Flipbook and disable printing/downloading. Fliphtml5 is a hosted solution, so you can share it using a link.

http://www.flipbuilder.com/ is a paid solution which you can use to publish a Flipbook in Flash and HTML5 and disable printing/download
