Moodle 2.3; marking assignments using a scale not a percentage...
By default the "grade submission" view (the one you use when marking an assignment) sets the default grade for the student submission to the highest grade of the scale. If you make a comment and save changes without otherwise assigning a grade, this maximum grade is copied to the gradebook.
This is a disaster waiting to happen for us!
I want the marker to have to make a conscious choice to award a grade.
I would like the submission view to have a "No grade" option and for that to be the default (just like it is with the "quick grade" on the summary view). How can I do this please?
I can't see anything in the docs but would welcome pointers if I'm missing something (as I probably am .
