Groups and Groupings for Hidden Resources/Activities

Hi all, I recently went on some training which briefly touched on a feature I am very interested in and have just tried to implement to no avail.

I wanted to setup Groups (separate) for a course, and activites and resources that can ONLY be seen and attempted by Xgroup. I started with an Assignment - allowing Grouping A (with Xgroup inside) to assignment. I assumed this would do the trick- but it is still available to other groups and groupings- anyone able to help?

Hi Chris,

If you have not set your course settings to "separate groups" then that might be the issue.

Go to course administration->edit settings and scroll down to "groups" in this menu.  Toggle "group mode" to "separate groups":

Thanks Ryan- I had looked at that- I stumbled upon what I was looking for it happened that I needed to enable an Experimental setting "Available for groups only" this gave me a tick box in 'Common Module Settings' works a treat now- strongly recommend it for teachers sharing courses with multiple groups and different assignments.
