There may be other ways to do this, but I use a manual grade item to do it. You can add one in either the simple or full view of the grader report. From inside your course, go to Settings --> Grades. On the new screen, click the arrows on the Grader report button and select either simple view or full view under Categories and items. At the bottom of that screen there should be an Add grade item button. That should get you going in the right direction.
