I am not sure how to describe this but we are using the Splash theme. In an IE browser the pages seem to slide open from left to right. Is there anyway to make it just load the page without the swipe effect?
Hi I don't think this behaviour is related to the theme, but more to do with Compatibility Mode setting in your IE Browsers.
We are not obliged to fix IE8 problems as these really are a pain, but that said Moodle style sheets do carry a fair amount of hacks for Internet Explorer.
Can I suggest that you check Compatibility Mode first. To do this go to...
Tools > Compatibility View settings
...in your IE browser, and check that you site URL is NOT listed. This can be an automatic setting if you are using an Intranet to access Moodle.
Have you tried other themes? Thinking about this further, it sound like a Javascript or CSS transition setting, if such a thing has been added as a global setting to do this?
