Feedback for the cloze questions is being provided when u check a question.
BUT when cloze questions are in a quiz, the feedback is not being provided.
All other type of questions are providing feedback.
I even copied and pasted the example of a cloze question to see if it would work and it didnt.

Yes, this needs to be improved. There are already bug 1406 and bug 1686 filed on this issue.
This question type doesn't seem to input meaningful info into the detailed stats either - just the number of the text box e.g. {#2}. Should the be logged as a bug or feature request?
The old detailed stats had so many bugs in the bug tracker that it has been abandoned in Moodle 1.5. Enrique is writing a new one.
