I'm having a bit of an argument with the head of IT in my secondary school.
I have added a chat room for pupils for after school and at dinner times.
Obviously I get one or two who abuser it and I soon disable their accounts BUT I want to prove that it is making more pupils interested in the moodle which I know for a fact it has.
I want to show that more users go on if there is a fun aspect than if it is strictly educational.
Is there anyway of logging how many users have been on the moodle in a 24 hour period or something similar so I can show the head of IT that he is wrong to ban the chat?

We are looking at a tool called GISMO which whilst it is still in development, has some very useful reporting features. The developer is Christian Milani and the code is available at https://sourceforge.net/projects/gismo/
