Hi!
I'm interested in making Moodle to show an icon when a new item is added/enabled, so students can notify when the teacher adds new content.
AFAIK, this is not implemented yet, but I'm not sure if it's already included in version 1.5.
By the way, don't you have a roadmap or future features lists?

What about the recent activities? That shows everything that has been done.

Recent activities is different... I just want resources like files, tasks,etc. added recently by teachers to have an image or text next to them.
The icon could be placed at the right or left of resource's name.

Maybe it could be something like this... well the size of the new icon should be smaller...
but the idea is that if a new activity or resource has been set then it is shown in the course view as new, during some time (2 days? well a site parameter that can be defined in config.php)

The main idea is that a site can specify a period when the modified activites or resources have a special icon, after being updated. This focuses attention on new subjects. It could also be modified to remark those activities that the student has not done yet and are near to its due date.
