Hi, In a topic wise course I want to make a section available only after complition of some activities(eg. A Quizze for assessing students readiness). So is there any course format that allows to show one section at a time and make next section available only after some activities are completed?

Hi there. You don't need a special course format; you can do this with Conditional activities settings if you look at section 2.1

Hi Mary, Thank you for help. I was not aware of this functionality and its really useful. However I have a small doubt. This conditional viewing is dependent on those activities only which are gradeable. Can't I use a survey or questionnaire which is just needed to be completed, to control the view?

Activity completion settings depend on the activity and don't all have to be gradeable activities.

You can use any setting like if a student needs to view the activity, post in forum, submit the assignment, start a discussion topic, or post replies to other students posts as the conditions for locking.
