I only see topic 0 when view the course with editing on or editing off. I am able to add that topic to the grid, but others do not display with that ability.
Thanks for your help, Gareth.

Dear Mark,
Thank you for the screen shot. I see you are using a custom theme. Does the issue occur in the 'Standard' theme? I've tested on my machine and do not have an issue with the standard theme.
What version of the Grid Format are you using please? - I need the entire contents of the 'version.php' file for the format.
Cheers,
Gareth
Gareth-
Thanks for your time. We had a version conflict on our end with the 2.3 version of the format install on the 2.4 server. We have it corrected, and all is well. Thanks again for your time.
A quick question -- Any thoughts about allowing multiple grids per course? I t would be great to have a topic area used as a header not in the grid with a grid below it and then another topic area with another grid, etc.
Thanks again.
Mark
Dear Mark,
No worries.
To be honest I do not see the value in the separated grid functionality as it would only lead to the scroll of death, which is what the format (along with others) attempts to solve. Programatically it's quite tricky to implement in a system with variable sections and therefore 'what number trigger defines the break point and how many break points should there be?' etc... All things from a user's control perspective that need to be defined before coding takes place. Plus, at the moment there are outstanding requirements for variable box size and keyboard grid control.
But, thank you for the suggestion anyway.
Cheers,
Gareth
Gareth-
Again, thank you for your time and your answer to my question. I had not considered the Scroll of Death and it also sounds like a programming nightmare.
Thanks again for all of your help and the great format.
Mark
Dear Mark,
No worries. I'm a firm believer that the user interface and functionality should come first, then the 'how we make this happen' second. So, if one day there is a clear cut set of defined user requirements for the functionality then perhaps it could happen.
Cheers,
Gareth
Hi Mark
Could you please let me know what your server issue was. We are also having the problem of section 0 showing only.
Thanks
Richard
Dear Richard,
Looking at Mark's comments it appears he was using the version designed for Moodle 2.3 on Moodle 2.4.
Cheers,
Gareth
Richard-
Our issue was a version conflict. We have a couple different servers running Moodle and the 2.3 version of the format had been installed on the 2.4 server. Once the 2.4 version of the format was installed on the 2.4 server, everything was golden.
Mark
Hi Both
Thanks for your replies. I did have they 2.3 version installed but that was because I coudn't get the 2.4 stable version to work. I was getting a "dependency" error when trying to install the 2.4 version on my 2.4.3 system.
I've now overwritten the 2.3 version with what I'm sure is the the same 2.4 stable version I originally tried and it works now.
Might have been my error but seems a little strange. Works now though so all good.
Thanks
Richard
Dear Richard,
Never ever overwrite the files! Always clear out the folder and put in the new files as overwriting can cause odd issues.
Cheers,
Gareth
OK - noted.
Thanks
