When I create a cloze multichoice the feedback (correct or incorrect) is displayed.
When I create a shortanswer it does not - the hover feedback works fine, but not the display.
The capital of Australia is {1:SHORTANSWER:%100%Canberra#Congratulations!

Has anyone gotten this to work for shartanswer the same as multchoice?

Hi Sakshi, Yeah read that ages ago. Everyplace you find about this subject seems to have the same info which is incomplete at best. There is no mention of displayed results or behaviour.
I may not have explained my question very well. Perhaps some illustrations will help.
The shortanswer displayed result after an attempt shows no cloze feedback is displayed (but is shown with mouse-over).
The multichoice question displayed result after an attempt shows feedback from cloze (but none is shown from a mouse-over).
I expected in both cases to have my cloze feedback displayed as in the multichoice (not mouseover only).
all uploaded as Moodle XML.

That is not possible, only mouseover is available for shortanswer questions. Indeed, where else would you expect feedback for a shortanswer question to be displayed?

It is only "impossible" because it has not, indeed, been coded. Students should be able to expect a consistent interface.

Thanks for your answer. Now I have a reason. It would, I see, be quite complex and perhaps messy for a compound question.
Perhaps for a single shortanswer after a question (perhaps a new type [SAS?]) it could be achieved first.
