I have downlowded the GISMO block and added it to the Blocks folder, this add-on block appears in the site administration/ manage block and it is active, but when I visit my home and try to add this block using the " add a block " drop list, I don't find it there!
how can I use this block?
Two things you might have missed:
- Did you define the block/xxx:addinstance capability?
- Have you implemented the applicable_formats method, which determines which pages the block can appear on.
I have followed the documentation of the GISMO plugin but none of these 2 steps are mentionned, how can I define the block capability and where to implement the applicable_formats method?
You can only add GISMO inside a course, not at the main site level from what I remember.

Hi, there are two components that the developers of Gismo made.
One called Gismo another called MOCLog.
- Gismo is for teachers and students within a course
- MOCLog for administrators with Site wide reporting.
Maybe you are confusing the two? http://moclog.ch/download/software/ they are two different things.
MOCLog would be visible on the Home page and Gismo would not.
