Is it possible just to import or copy grade categories from one course to another without having to import the other parts of a course. Right now we have to recreate the categories with every new course, which is really a colossal waste of time given that most of our courses have identical weighting for exams.
Could you just set up an empty course with the appropriate categories and then create the new courses from the import of the empty course? Have you checked the plugins - would be a nice addin!
What has worked well for us in the past is to import:
- uncheck all but one item
- make sure grade histories are turned on
Deletet the one item once the import is complete
