Short question answers that included special characters like colons and semicolons caused the question answer to return false, as in this example:
C1.1 Rewrite the sentence and supply the colon where necessary. Hinton developed some new pastimes golfing, working out in the gym, and going to afternoon ball games.
Answer:
Hinton developed some new pastimes: golfing, working out in the gym, and going to afternoon ball games.
But the quiz report would return negative even though the answer was correct. It was the inclusion of a special character, in this instance a colon, to throw the question answer false.
Moodle works marvelously in English classes but questions and answers that included punctuation marks do not work in 1.4.
1.5cvs does work. I was wondering about 1.4.4
Can someone else confirm with their version numbers?
