Curriculum approach in Moodle 2.2

I am wondering about the best way to create a curriculum with Moodle (using Moodle 2.2).

Curriculum: Call Center Agent (boarders training)

This curriculum consist of a series of courses which the participants have to complete in a certain sequence.

  • Course 1 : introduction to the company
  • Course 2: product portfolio
  • Course 3: communication skills
  • etc

By putting an activity (fi quiz) at the end of each course we can check if the participant is ready to start the next course. (activity completion).  This way you can create control points in the learning path and the participant does not have to wait on a manual interaction (enrolling him in a next course) to proceed with his learning.

I have looked into Metacourses and Activity Completion but I do not seem to get this to work.

Another thought would be to use enrolment keys so the participant can not start a next course unless he has the enrolment key.  If it would be possible to send an email with the enrolment key for his next course to follow at the completion of his quiz, that might open some possibilities.

Any suggestions?
