Well  -er -that's it really. I am on Chrome and for the last few hours every minute or so the download box appears trying to get me to download the favicon. In fact when I logged in , I got a message "this site is attempting to download multiple files.Do you want to allow this?" or something like that. Just in Chrome. Is it me or is it others too? I suppose I shall have to click "yes" to allow it - but I have never seen this message before.

Cloudflare has popped up a bit recently in my circles.  I found this link on what it does and a little bit about how it works, which was an effect they found by accidnet.

And the politics and $$: http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/20/cloudflare-wants-to-make-your-site-look-like-a-billion-bucks-with-instaflare/

Hi Derek and all,

It looks like CloudFlare is coming up with new ideas. See "CloudFlare aggressive" http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=207541. But the good news is, it allowed me to revert back to my favorite browser http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=205454#p896955 (last para).

According to the first article, "CloudFlare: A website security product accidentally makes sites 60% faster" http://thenextweb.com/insider/2011/06/07/cloudflare-a-website-security-product-accidentally-makes-sites-60-faster/ CloudFlare is an "accidental CDN". What a relief!

I wonder what else CloudFlare has up in its sleeve. It is time to ask the inconvenient question again: "What is the funtion of CloudFlare in moodle.org?" http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=205454. The article above says, "In short, CloudFlare is a security product." What is then this thing about "accidentally makes sites 60% faster"? Is some randomness involved? Have the traffic on moodle.org sky rocketed or are there bloat to be transported? See for example, "Odd behaviour submitting forum form" http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=207448.

Yeah so far it has downloaded 18 favicons to my computer and that's just today. I deleted like 15 yesterday. It is very annoying. Someone working on this or what?

Yes it is being worked on MDLSITE-1860 but it isn't Moodle's fault; it is Cloudflaresad
