Forum topics are currently sorted by the date of the last post. This is not always appropriate. Luckily soon this table, like many others, will be fully sortable by any column heading because Jon has created a new table class for moodle. One by one tables will begin using this new class. The table of forum discussions would clearly profit from this a lot.
