Changing max grade

please excuse me if this has been asked and answered, but I could not find a reference. I need to increase the max grade on assignments to 400 points.  I tried using a custom scale but the grade book does not show the max possible using it. Could someone point me to the code that needs to be changed?

This is exactly the same problem I have. I frequently give tests worth more than 100points. We can't be the only ones with this complaint wink

Can anyone help?

BTW: I am using v1.5.4 right now. Do I just need to upgrade. I was hoping to avoid this difficulty.

Hi Dawn, a proposed patch can be found at MDL-15052. You could also try to contact with Gary Anderson who also created another similar patch (to change the pull-down menu from 0-100 to a text field which could accept any number, including decimals, from 0 - 999.)...

Not sure why a lot of this type of proposed patches for usability improvement were decided not to go into core, so you probably will have to patch it by yourself for local customization.
