I uploaded the moodle folder and modified the congfig.php I created and put in the moodle folder, I followed the steps I created the data directory and put it in th /var folder, the /moodle, html/dar

my actual location of /moodle it

www.jabgear.com/moodle

folder

set-up

jabgear.com/html/moodle

What does this error message tell me to do?

http://www.jabgear.com/moodle/

I thinjk that my /data is in the right place with the 777 permission, is this an issue I need to call me hosting company and they need to change something on thier end?  If so what should I ask about.  Thanks again for your time..

Also how do I get to my admin area?

Hi,

it seems that im stating the obvious, but your data directory seems to be at the wrong place! Try to place it where your browser suggest it
/home/jabgearc/jabgeat.com/data

It would be interesting to see which path is in your config.php under the point $CFG->dataroot ?

Hope i could help you

How do I get to that location?  When I ftp my files I usually send them into the html folder?

Could you post ur config.php here, so i can look what you wrote in there?

And like i said, if you dont wanna post your config.php, please tell me what path stands in $CFG->datarootwinken

I'm still thinking, that your dataroot setting is wrong.

Regards

Marcus
