How to of migration from 1.9 to 2.x ?

Does someone has this kind of how to?

I've reading a lot about this and found a lot of problems whit this upgrade.

I want to upgrade to 2.1 and read that it's better to go to 2.0 and then to 2.1 ... in other pages said that it's better to go directly to 2.1.

All of them note that there is a lot of work to do after the migration of courses because a lot of things are lost (users info, etc).

Our moodle has almost 500 courses and 30.000 users, so it's imposible to handle such an upgrade if it not runs almost automatically.

thanks

i've read it, but read too that there were various problems whit that upgrade and that it is better to go directly to 2.1 from 1.9

now it says in this link that "It is only possible to upgrade to Moodle 2.0 from 1.9. " and the upgrading to 2.1 link is deleted

in the other hand in this link it says that "You can upgrade to Moodle 2.1 from Moodle 2.0 or 1.9"

isn't it a contradiction with the upgrading to 2.0 that states that it is only possible to upgrade to 2.0 from 1.9?

With so many courses and users, you must be dealing with a very busy site. The clearest instructions on migrating to 2.X that I've seen were written by Rosario Carcò a few days ago, here:

 http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=191787

This is no doubt a failsafe procedure but it must also be a very time consuming procedure probably resulting in far too much downtime for a site as big as yours.

Rather than trying to upgrade your sole Moodle installation, why not run 1.9 and 2.X concurrently? For example:

 http://moodle19.example.com
 http://moodle21.example.com

All you need to do then is make sure that all new courses are created in 2.1 and with time your 1.9 installation will become obsolete.
