I registered my first students, created 2 groups. They have no roles. In Assign Roles in System I can see only Manager and Course Creator. I searched everywhere for a way to assign student roles to my students. I can't find it(

This is because role are assigned at the course level and not at the site level. So go into a course; click on course administration>users and enrol your students there. See http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Enrolment_methods
