ola,

i am working here for a school in barcelona

that was using last year moodle 1.9.12...

we tried these days to migrate the site to a 2.x.x version,

the upgrade seems to run smoothly, apart from a few warnings

but after the upgrade, all the navigation is messed up

and the theme seems to be lost ( we don't have the theme icons

as they should appear ) and the menu options are not active

and not clickable.

i tried today to migrate from 1.9.12 to 2.0.4+ and then from 1.9.12 to 2.1.1+

and had the same problem twice, the theme we are using is 'standardwhite'.

i join here a screenchot of the garbled menus.

i'd be glad if you could point me to some direction to look at, knowing

that i'm a decent php/js programmer but the complexity of yui and such

keeps me perplex..

thanks in advance

ola,

i'm answering here to my own question,

i found that the problematic step in migration

is to copy a config.ph from a 1.9.x version to a 2.x.x version,

they are not compatible at all ( surely for the missing php tag at the end )

and all the code must be messed up after that..

so what i did is intalling an empty 2.1.1+ first,

keep the config.php from this installation with

the system paths and passwords.

then import my 1.9.x data in a new database

and start the migration again,

in this case yes it works.

salut!
