Hello -Yes - Click on their profile as admin to edit it and choose "show advanced" and then in "choose an authentication method" choose "no login".

Hi Mary,
Do you know if there's a way of doing this by batch? Is there a 'shortname' for 'Choose an authentication method' that could be used in a CSV upload so I could switch a number of users to 'No login'?
I'm looking for this same thing. Did you ever find a way to change a bulk of users to "no login" at the same time?
Hello Louise Hawkins,
¿Did you ever learn how to change the field "Choose auth method" for several users?
Im looking for a way to upload a file that changes several users from "No login" to "Manual accounts" and viceversa.
Thank you for your help!
a possibility could be the Upload user function, which also allow you to update user accounts. According to docs, "auth" is an "Optional field" field you can include in the CSV file, so you could give it a try: http://docs.moodle.org/26/en/Upload_users#Fields_that_can_be_included
