Hi all,

The Capabilities/moodle/backup:backupsection documentation says:

  • This allows a user to backup sections of a course
  • This capability is allowed for the default roles of manager and teacher

However, as admin if I remove the moodle/backup:backupsection capability from the teacher role, it does not prevent a teacher from backing-up a course section.

What actually is the point of that capability?

Seems contrary to what it says it will do.  When you logged in with an instructor account you could still backup the section when you had it set to not allow the instructor role to backup a section?  I imagine that setting is not set for instructors by default since many may not want instructors to backup a course and take it somewhere else or backup a course and restore over their active course by mistake.
