I am using Moodle 1.9. I have imported a large test bank of questions into my course and I was wondering if Moodle could automatically pull a set number of questions from that bank randomly. What I want to end up with is a randomly generated test of say 100 questions that is pulled from a test bank of say 1000 questions. Each time a student takes a test, the questions would be different (pulled from the pool of questions). Is this possible?
From what I can tell, you would add all of the 1k questions to a new question bankcategory and create a quiz which you fill with questions using the Add random questions from category option. This is using 2.0, so may not be the same.
