MNet Configuration issue - unable to communicate

MNet Configuration issue - unable to communicate

Hey fellow Moodlers,

So here's the scenario. We have a moodle on a local system, and another moodle site on a hosted network.

Let's say the local system is Moodle A
The internet-accessible system is Moodle B

Both are in two completely seperate domains (physically and otherwise).

On Moodle A, we have URLs which are pointing to content on Moodle B. I want some sort of authentication method/communication method such that if a user on Moodle A logs in using his Moodle A credentials, and he clicks on any such URL which is pointing to content on Moodle B, he should not have to login to Moodle B. And the content should be accessible to him.

This could be a behind-the-scenes login, or (the closest that I have seen to work in theory) is MNet. However, with MNet, the major issue is that I am not able to get Moodle B to communicate back with Moodle A, because Moodle A is only accessible locally.

I hope that makes sense.

Any help in this regard would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,
Ali
