Sorry to be the one with the bad news, Patt, but there isn't a way to downgrade Moodle. Just upgrade. The good news is that Moodle 1.5 is scheduled to be released somewhere near the end of February.

If it is the blocks problem that is still bothering you in 1.5 unstable, let me know. I updated the glossary_random block to be compatible with 1.5, maybe I can take a look at the other blocks as well...
