plz, can you help me to install moodle step by step ?
I try by localhost and by using server
I am use windows xp locally and want to install Moodle 2.0.2+.
The error in the server is :
Parent directory (D:\hshome\mohammed) is not writeable. Data directory (D:\hshome\mohammed\moodledata) cannot be created by the installer.
by localhost there is no match for database.
plase explain the install step by step it is the first time to install it

If you haven't, you should start by reading this page: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_Moodle, as it will help you to get a clear picture of what you need in order to install Moodle.
To get some help, you should also provide a little bit more information about the environments you are working on. For example, which of the required applications (web server, data base server, php) have you installed at your local computer, and which are available at the remote server? It would also be useful to know the version number of each app.
If you have no previous experience working with this kind of applications, I would recommend you to start by using the Moodle complete install package for Windows (at least to get your local installation running):

If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you could first install a Wamp package (like this one: http://www.wampserver.com/en/), and then install Moodle.
