Quiz "Start Over" at the top

Quiz "Start Over" at the top

This is for Moodle 2.0.2 stable

After creating a quiz...at the top there is this button that says "Start Over". How do I get rid of that? I tested this out by hitting on the "Start Over" button and what it gave me were a different set of new numbers, as well as the time limit resets, neither of which I don't want when I quiz students

Help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!!

That button only appears to you, as a teacher, when creating the test, to help you test things. It does not appear to students. If you want to be certain how things will appear to your students, create a spare user account, and enrol that user in the course as a student, then you can log in with that account to test things exactly as users see them.

I am having the same problem. I used my students' account, and they can do as many attempts as they desire, and nothing shows on my report!

I did this inspection after all my students told me that they've submited the quiz, and I still have zero attempts.

I checked their profile, and their role is "student".

When the HOD took the quiz, everything was fine, and I saw his result.

Is it possible that IT guys are doing something wrong?

I tried all possible settings when editing the quiz, but I failed to fix this.

Something has gone wrong with your permissions set up, which means that students have the mod/quiz:preview capability. You need to (get your admins to) review the role definitions.

Thank you Tim, I'll pass that on to them and see what happens. I noticed that all of my students have exactly the same email account, which is the student@school.edu for example (the default email built in moodle), do they need to have different emails, even if fake, or this is irrelevant to this prob?
