Updating grades hides assignment feedback in 2.0

Moodle 2.0.1 - Running PostgreSQL

Assignments are graded within the assignment grading function, feedback entered, and files (.docx, .xlsx, .pdf, etc) appended. This works fine, unless the grade is subsequently edited in the grader report. As soon as the grade is updated the student can no longer see or access feedback files. Even if "Grade over-ridden" is toggled off via the grader report update feature, the feedback files are no longer shown to the student or teacher. If the grade in the gradebook is reset to the original grade, feedback files occasionally re-appear. Students can see their grades in the assignment or the gradebook (if made visible) but can not see or access feedback files.

Anyone who can provide some assistance on this - it would be greatly appreciated.

Currently we have a number of instructors who want to use decimal grades for their assignments. In order to do this, they grade the assignment in the assignment area (so that they can provide feedback and upload commented assignments), and they must then update the grade in the gradebook on order to override the grade with a decimal (4.5/8). As soon as they update the grade in the gradebook, the student(and instructor for that matter) can no longer view the feedback that was given. This information (and the grade) is locked until the grade is backed out in the gradebook (which then makes the feedback available sometimes).

So, there seems to be something taking place between the gradebook override grade and the assignment feedback/grading.

We need a solution to this as we have instructors grading material and students who are unable to access their feedback.

Thanks in advance!
