Timothy Takemoto suggested an auto-linking filter over in the Language Teaching forum:
Automate pronuciation guide using Forvo or Howjsay.
I've created a first stab at such a filter which actually does nothing more than hijack the glossary auto-linking URLs by replacing them with another one.
