Hi
in some Learning Platforms and websites such as MyMaths/ SAM Learning students see a list of work and or homework they need to do.
how do fellow Moodlers deal with this? Am I missing something obvious?

thanks
chris

you can set up Moodle to use MyMoodle - a page that students access once logged in if admin  has set it up in site admin>apperance><MyMoodle and it tells them what they have to do in their various courses - does that help?

Or in a class you can add a table that has activities and work grouped. You could add a web page page in the top block that is a syllabus or schedule.

Hi Chris,

I'm sure different teachers have different ways of organising things. I put the tasks for a given period in a topic/section and I write Instructions (consignes in French) to tell the students what to do.

Below is an example of what students on an English as a foreign language course have to do this week.

This is in Moodle 1.9.9. In Moodle 2 you can be more sophisticated and oblige students to do tasks in a prescribed order and students can "tick off" tasks as they move through the course so they and the teacher can easily see what's been done.

Cheers,

Glenys

What do you mean "Tick Off". I would love Moodle to have a checkbox by each activity or even text that says, "Completed" or anything that told students, parents and teaches where a student is. So I am looking at your image and wonder what you mean by "tick off" .
