How to change 'Member of Staff' name in a scheduler slot

I am adding slots to the scheduler and need to change the name in each slot to represent the people who are working during those times. Clicking on the edit memo pad has not allowed me to make the changes, how do I do this?

Okay, so now that I know what's wrong, what do I do to fix it? I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to 'codes'. Thank you!
