i have college students participating in my class via Moodle. The server is hosted by an outfit called SiteGround...The college only has space for the chosen CMS called D2L...I prefer Moodle and have set up private passwords for each student (students can change to thier liking)...There is no admittance of guests...Only the students enrollend in the class have access...Students do not use ID numbers or SS#'s...Here is my concern. Do you feel that I am exposing the students who post in Forums on Moodle. Their grades are also posted there, but protected so that only Jane Doe and see Jane Doe's grade (your truly the teacher can see too). I would like some feedback on this issues, is possible. I am willing to provide more information, if you need it. Let me know.    (advance thanx)

On the site run by my school district, we also:
  • close the site to Google and other searchbots
  • require log in for profiles
  • disable email based self-authentication
All of these are in the admin settings.
