Some forum posts have disappeared on three forums of the same course. I have checked the history, and it appears that those posts still exists, but the user was thrown away from the post.
I've tried to move it to another forum but this didnt't work.
Our Moodle version is 1.9.8.
Does anyone have a clue ?

My case is similar. Suddenly all posts to a forum disappeared. Nevertheless they are counted in the forum list: it shows there are 15 topics in that forum, but when I clic on them I see none. "There are no discussion topics yet in this forum"
Apparently the posts are there but hidden somehow. This happened before with this particular forum (not with other forums in the same course): last week the posts disappeared and suddenly they reappeared, apparently when a student added a post. But now they are gone again. I try adding myself a post as a teacher, but I cannot see it afterwards. It adds +1 to the number of posts in the forum but still they remain hidden.
No clues so far. Any ideas?
