i have one question if u may answer me plz.
suppose we are in a school :
if there is a course that is used this year and will be used again next year, what happens with its old participants (who were added as participants in the first year)?
will they still have access to all that course`s activities?? will they be able to reach their old grades even though they have finished this coursed?

It is actually up to you - if you will not remove your old participants, or if will not hide the course, then they will not loose access to the activities and grades.
If I were you, I would create a new course for the new participants, and then Import content from the old course.
Then you can run them separately and decide what kind of access students need in the old course.
