Hi all
Had a weird problem today - still haven't worked it out.
I am the administrator for our moodle setup (set up as the administrator within moodle that is) - which in theory should allow me to do anything.
Today, one of our students posted a query in the technical assistance forum and I went to reply to it to answer her problem.
As soon as I hit reply the system said "you must subscribe to this course" and it wouldn't let me go any further.
I am subscribed to that ( and all courses ) in the system - I created them.
I tried adding myself to the group the student is in - nothing.
Un-subscribing and re-subscribing to the course - nothing.
Even overriding the permissions for the particular forum (which I set up) and I still cannot post a reply.
I can however post replies to all other posts in that forum.
I'm stumped.
Anyone got any ideas ?

Finally worked it out - very bizarre.
I had the front page default role set to guest.
When I changed it to "none" I was allowed to reply to the post.
