I have been looking at the test site and hope to get my own test site up and running soon. I have a couple of quieries i hope some one could help me with.

Is it possible to still embed html code such as a i frame in a page, the release note said you can but i can't seem to manage it.

Is it possible to see a version of the workshop activity?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for helping with Moodle 2.0 testing. I've just enabled the workshop activity module on the QA Testing site so please feel free to have a play!

Regarding embedding html code, just wondering what account you were using? Also, which bit of the release notes are you referring to?

Thank you for adding the workshop module as i have been looking forward to exploring it.

As for embedding, i can find where i read the notes, possibly mixed it up with something else. I have logged in as a teacher and a manger and tried to use the editor to embed an i frame. It removed the code. This seems to be an issue with tinymce from what i have found from searching the web and moodle website.

Also when logged in as a teacher and using the add a resource section under the settings menu several of the weeks will not let you add a resource.

But from what I have seen so far it is generally looking much easy to use and I hope It will encourage more staff at my school to use it.

Hi Tim - I will go and take a look at that not being able to add a resource in several of the weeks. Can you be a bit more specific about the issue as this sounds interesting?
Edit: I just went and tried in three separate weeks and couldn't replicate your problem -could you say where it was you couldn't add a resource?

Hi

i am probably trying to do something that does not work or is for something else. If you look at the link below you should see where I am clicking. A couple of times it has come up with options to add a resource but often it does not.

Hi Tim. Are you sure you are clicking on the arrow head thing and not the blue text link? I get this:

Yes thank you that solved it, thanks for your help will have to be careful with that one in the future. When you press the text it looks like it is trying to do something but nothing happens.

sorry for all of the questions, are you going to be able to hide weeks or topics in final release version as i can't see how to do it at the moment.

Hi hopefully this will be the last question for the moment. I and many other schools used the BBC resources but they are a real pain with moodle as they will not seem to stream properly. They are also heavily encrypted so you can not down load to use. I have pasted the URL below. In version 2.0 do you think these is any way of smoothing the usage. I the past all i have been able to do is use an I frame to link to the page. This is a big ask and i an not sure there is any solution but would be gratefull for any help with this one

Hi again Tim - don't apologise - this is the first time I get to answer questions on Moodle 2.0 and I need the practice!big grin I think this one - are you going to be able to hide weeks or topics in final release version as i can't see how to do it at the moment? is a themes issue, not a Moodle issue, because although you can't see the hide icon on the Boxxie theme on the QA testing site, I can see it on the standard (plain) theme on my testing site.
Re the BBC learning zone, I have had varying degrees of success with this: - there is a video options box bottom right which gives the flv url but if you embed it using Moodle's multimedia filter then you get the player fine and although it "should" play, it never seems to. On the other hand, other of their videos give you a wmv option and they embed and work fine (in Moodle 1.x and Moodle 2.0)
