I ran the previous version of the workshop module on a slightly modified Moodle 1.4.2. I will try to remember what modifications I had to make. I think the main thing was that the workshop module is using the new Moodle 1.5 upload forms so I had to copy the necessary new functions into the libraries of the old Moodle.
