Gradebook

I had an assignment that I had left feedback and marks for approximately 20 students in a class of 24. The marks and feedback had been saved over the course of 3 days with various iterations so I know the data was saved properly at one point.

I needed to change the 'category' for the course because I had it in a hidden area from students. When I brought it over to the proper category, I noticed that all of the marks I had given were gone. The marks may have been lost because of that move or from something earlier.

I tried to restore the course, both in part and as a whole, but neither option restored the marks for that assignment. In fact, my backup of the entire course did not contain any enrolled students so that option didn't work well.

Does anyone have any thoughts of what I might try? I'm an admin, so I also am wondering what settings about my backup scheme might be wrong?
