Hi Dustin,
No, but most zip programs should be able to handle .tar.gz files too. You may need to extract it twice though, once to remove the .gz extension then again to access the files inside the .tar file.

Thanks for the update guys. The big question for me is will this module be updated for Moodle2? And if so, when could we expect a release?

Hi Julian,
Yes we are definitely planning on updating face-to-face to Moodle 2. Unfortunately I don't know the exact time-frame at the moment, but I would expect that we will aim for release in time for 2.1.
