Odd Gradebook Problem Within One Course

Odd Gradebook Problem Within One Course

I am the admin for our department's Moodle (1.9.5), and we have approximately 35-40 separate courses currently running.

I have set the defaults fro the gradebook with no problems, save for one course. The issue is showing grades (both real and letter)

In ALL of the other courses, grades appear like this:

Vocab Quiz X
Category Total
9 (Satisfactory)
81.8% (Satisfactory)

But in one course (and only one course), the grades appear like this:

Vocab Quiz X
Category Total
9
81.8%

I have tried everything I can think of- changing the weighting and reverting to the original weighting as well as deleting the grade items and categories and recreating them and reentering the grades. The same thing happens again and again.

Any suggestions?

Assuming that the default grade display type is set to 'real (letter)' perhaps in that particular course it is overridden (either in the course level or in the category). smile

Thank you Itamar! That did the trick. The default settings for the whole Moodle are "real (letter)", but for some reason this course was not recognizing it. I changed the item settings for the whole course to "real (letter)" and it worked.

I really appreciate the help. approve
