In Moodle 1.9.3 i could edit /course/index.php and adjust the code slightly so that only the top category's would be displayed (much like the CFG->max_category_depth = N config) and not everything in it. In 1.9.6 the code is different and the frontpage depth settings don't apply to "Site Administration -> Courses -> Add / Remove Courses".
Is anyone aware of a hack (or setting) witch i can apply to Moodle to get a proper listing of just one category instead of all of them? Everything in the fora applies to the frontpage settings...

mm No, 'fraid not.. but there is a tidy little hack... well it is for me, because the categories listings and courses and all that is just untidy and not aesthetically pleasing, or in plain language, it is simply ugly - reminds me too much of my ex-wife.... too demanding of attention and too high maintainence.
