We have a course for staff, its a great way to show staff what is possible in Moodle. We put all sorts of useful files and instructions in the course. I would like to add a forum where staff can send a message to all staff and staff can reply to the forum. However I think staff will object to being sent too many emails so ideally staff would only be notified of a new topic and not of any reply to the topic.
Is there a way to do this with forums in moodle? I have had a dig around and looked for extended forum modules.
