Forum 1.41; PHP5.01; ratings not working...

Hi Folks... I have been running v1.41 for a week now on our production server using PHP 4.36. I installed PHP 5.01 yesterday, and everything was happy sailing except for the Forum module. I found out that the "send in my latest ratings" button didn't work under the new PHP 5.01 install (no error messages). Reverting back to PHP 4.36 restored the functionality. Might be a problem. I installed the latest forum mod (version as of this morning) hoping the problem had been fixed since the general release, but alas no.

Thoughts, or has anyone duplicated the problem?

OS X 10.35; MySQL 4; Apache 1.3; PHP 5.01; MOODLE 1.41; Forum mod v9.21.04

Hi Jay,

Fixed in CVS. It turned out to be a relatively minor difference in the way PHP 5 dealt with objects (with big consequences).

Hi,

I have the same problem.  I cannot save forum ratings. 

Since we have 1.4 installed? what is the easiest way to fix this?

I picked up a newer version of the 1.41 forum module from the Modules and Add-ons page and dropped it in. There are newer versions of many modules there than the versions that came with the 1.41 installer. Most are backwards compatible with the version with which they are associated.
