Hello All

As of this morning, my FSecure antivirus (virus definitions updated today) is reporting that "stop moodle.exe" is infected with the virus "Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Peace.gk". Has anyone else seen this? Is this a false-positive or a real threat?

Craig.

Start and Stop moodle are virus free. They have been tested by AVG team following false alerts by their antivirus. I also tested them with most of the "popular" antivirus. The files didn't get modified since they had been tested.
It's a false positive. (except if the trojan comes from somewhere else in your computer of course)

The computer is clean. Most of the lecturers here are Windows users so that is the OS under which the courses are constructed. This particular Moodle installation is a filter for making corrections to the course files (like removing spaces from file-names) before moving them to the main Moodle server.

Thanks for the feedback.

No problem. You can use Stop Moodle.exe, there is no virus in this file. Enjoy Moodle smile
