Uploading files

I am building the content of a course which is schedule to start on next september, 27.

At lesson number 12, when trying to upload an gif picture I noticed that the size of the file, on the server where Moodle is intalled, is zero. I tryed to see the file and, of course, nothing happens.

After uploading dozens of files I was very desapointed.

Before given up to proceed on the implementation of the course I am trying here for some help.

I also tryed to upload other files (which I will need in the future). Then I receive the message: could not find the file. Please select file to be uploaded (something like that).

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the image size bigger than the maximum allowed file on your server?

The message moodle gives when you exceed this size is not as clear as it could be.  It only says you should select a file, which can be very confusing.

Thanks, Héctor.

My fault. The server hard disk went out of space due to other problems than Moodle.

Anyway: yes, the messages are not clear.

Thanks again.
